Deliver Us From Evil
The sin I believe our society needs to rid themselves of is being judgmental. Walking through the hallways- I hear it all the time, "Her hair looks weird today," or, "the way she walks is so annoying," People don't realize that those little comments can ruin someones day. I not saying do not judge a book by its cover, but I can't believe what I hear all around me wherever I go. The sinister world of hatred and violence is not God's plan for us. Living on this earth is a privilege to us and people take it for granted. Although many natural disasters and war destroy our world physically, emotional we are tearing it apart. The earth could be a little bit better all around if unnecessary negative energy would just go away.

A Friend's Saint
I really enjoyed learning about Alex's saint, Padre Pio. His ministry and works are amazing. I am fascinated by the stigmata endured. It is truly incredible how closely linked Jesus shone through him. His hands and feet bled just like Jesus' did while dying on the cross. This really shows how dedicated he was to Jesus. I read an article once on how he appeared in a dream, for someone who was praying for a miracle to happen. The next day when the woman awoke, her paralyzed son was able to walk. I honestly believe that through the work of Jesus Christ and the ministry of Padre Pio that this boy was cured. I know it's a lot to ask for, but I pray to Padre Pio more often so maybe one of my prayers will become a reality.
Temptation
I admire Jesus so much, as I do every day, for his ability to fight temptation. He had face to face encounters with Satan and, as a human being, fought every temptation he faced. As a young teenager there are many temptations I face on a day to day basis that I must fight. Peer pressure is definitely one of the biggest temptations in my life. Sometimes I want to follow the crowds but in my heart I know what's right and what I should do. Jesus was sinless, and yes, I do understand that I sin and no one is perfect, but I feel guilty messing up, especially with God watching over me. He is the pure example of the kingdom of God and us humans should try to fulfill it every day by fighting the temptation by which the devil confronts us with.

KONY 2012
This video was very inspirational. I have watched it three times so far and it get more intriguing every time. I love the message they are giving-- All they are trying to do is raise awareness. It's not an annoying video trying to raise millions of dollars- its just trying to get the people of the world to wake up and pay attention. I thought the short film was an all around outstanding video that has become viral over night. The best part is that it's working. It is getting people's attention and getting them involved.

Mother Theresa
Explain the following statement: loneliness is the greatest poverty of rich countries?
I chose this question because I believe wholeheartedly in it. Not all rich people, but most, become so infatuated with their money and material possessions that they lose sight of God. It is a sad thing to think of, most of them are too busy to realize. I actually know a man (parents' friend) who's story relates to this tremendously. A rich man who had probably everything he'd ever dreamed of, was diagnosed with a serious illness. He was snobby and rude to people before he grew sick. But then, he grew humble, and began helping in soup kitchens and donating money to charities. It is sad to say that after he'd been diagnosed he'd realized he was living his life all wrong, and this was disease was how God informed him. He is still alive, and doing fine, and is probably one of the most influential people.
Mother Theresa has great insights about love and charity that I think everyone should learn from. Her perseverance is immeasurable and her love for complete strangers shows how passionate she is in carrying out the works of Jesus.
"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much."
This is my favorite quote from Mother Theresa. I have heard and used it before several times. I enjoy this because there have been times throughout my life where I just wonder why God did something to me or why another thing went wrong. In times of that I just think of Jesus dying on the cross, and realize my small crosses I need to bear are nothing compared to what he went through.

Pray As U Go
I enjoy the people from pray as you go. When I listen to them I feel relaxed and stress-free. The gospels help me think about life and how to act like Jesus each and every day. It gets me into a meditative mode where I can reflect on Jesus and the day so far.
